Can you provide a high chair / travel cot etc?
Yes, we provide high chair and travel cots free of charge, we also have a changing mat, potty, baby toys, bath toys and kids DVD's, games, books etc, as well as plastic crockery & cutlery, and a bottle steamer. Please request all requirements at time of booking. (all subject to availability).
Are there washing and drying facilities for clothes?
Waves has a washing machine and an airer to dry clothes & there is an excellent launderette only 20 metres from the property. There is also an iron and ironing board.
Where can I park?
Waves has an allocated parking space in a private car park directly outside the property which is clearly marked WAVES.
Can I bring my dog with me?
We welcome very well-behaved dogs to Waves BUT we must insist that they are not left alone in the apartment at any time, they are not allowed on the furniture, and they are not permitted upstairs in the apartment. We do also ask that all dog hairs are cleaned up/removed before departure. We appreciate your understanding with this.
What facilities are there in the village of Stoke Fleming?
The village has fantastic amenities including a village shop & post office, a wonderful child and dog-friendly pub, a bistro-style restaurant with take-away, a hotel that welcomes non-residents to use their restaurant, bar, indoor & outdoor pool, & jacuzzi, a large village park with children's play area, and a church.
There is a bus that travels hourly to either Dartmouth (10 mins) or Kingsbridge (40 mins) along the main coast road. It is only a 5-minute drive from Dartmouth or a 15-minute walk down to Blackpool Sands beach. Blackpool Sands also has a great café & takeaway. |
What time can I arrive and when must I depart by?
The arrival time is 3.00pm and you must depart by 10.00am. If the property is free the day of arrival it may be possible to agree an earlier arrival time, and the same on departure.
Is bed linen, towels, electric etc included in the price?
Yes, bed linen is included in the price at Waves, and beds for all guests booked in will be made up on arrival. Towels and tea-towels are included (but not beach towels). All gas and electricity costs are included in the booking price.
Do you have outside space?
Waves has a paved terrace off the kitchen and dining areas, with outside corner sofa, table, chairs and Bar-B-Q. There is also a shared garden with patio table and chairs and a playhouse, at the end of the parking area, with sea-views.
How much is the deposit?
If a booking is made 8 weeks or more before the booking is due to start it must be accompanied by a deposit of a third of the rent.
If a booking is made less than 8 weeks before the start of the holiday, the full rent must be paid at the time of booking. Do you accept short breaks?
Yes, Waves is available to book for short breaks with a minimum of 2 nights in low season. During peak season & school holidays a minimum 5 nights stay must be booked.
